
131 stranded Nigerians return from Libya
The International Organization for Migration (Nigeria) has announced the return of 131 stranded Nigerians from Libya through its Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) programme.
The UN lead migration agency stated this on its Facebook page.
The message reads: ‘Homecoming: 131 stranded Nigerian Migrants in Libya on Tuesday returned home through IOM’s Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) Programme. Through this programme IOM has facilitated the return of over 26,000 Nigerians and assisted them with rehabilitation and livelihood support to help them restart their lives.
“Thanks to the European Union in Nigeria for their support in bringing these migrants home safely.”
