Fresh batch of Nigerians for deportation from Munich tomorrow

A new set of Nigerians seeking asylum in Germany, would be deported via Munich tomorrow, July 12, 2022.

The Coordination Activist of Refugees4Refugees network, Rex Osa made this known via a post on his Facebook page.

His words: “Deportation from Munic to Lagos tomorrow… 10 Police vehicles and an Helicopter were deployed to enforce the arrest of 2 asylum seekers in Lauben, Bavaria. Both of them were to be deported to their home countries. They were supposed to be arrested and brought before a judge who would have to decide on their being detained in the deportation custody to guarantee their being onboard the next available deportation flight.

“A Police spokesman expressed their worries about having less than the initially planned number of persons to fill up the deportation flights. According to him, from about 80 deportation enforcement plan, only a few are usually enforced as enforcement flight, only a few are usually taken as the last minute deportation operation proves unsuccessful. Asylum seekers who are not too sure of their Duldung status should take note of this.”

Reacting to the post, a Facebook user and follower of Rex Osa,.Baerbel Klett, described the action thus:  “This is just madness. 10 police vehicles and a helicopter to detain 2 “possible” deportees? I cannot imagine how they justify the cost-benefit ratio. Talk about complete overkill here. Whoever sanctioned this waste of money and resources should get sacked immediately.”
