IOM Nigeria hails private sector support in migrants’ reintegration

IOM Nigeria has lauded private sector support in reintegration of migrants in the country.
In a tweet via its verified handle earlier today, the UN migration agency said:
“The economic reintegration of returnees is indispensable in reducing the impact of return and reintegration in communities of return, particularly in irregular migration-prone communities.
“The private sector is an integral partner in supporting economic reintegration efforts. In the last six months, IOM and select private sector partners in Edo State have supported at least 160 youth from high-risk communities with job opportunities.
“The @EUinNigeria has supported the operations at @wellshosa Farms where returnees and potential migrants produce fresh vegetables at scale.
@EmbassyofSwitzerland in Nigeria has supported the woodwork project where the youth are trained and supported with start up kits for their own businesses.
